Crytek’s Hunt: Showdown, a new take by a new developer on a relatively old, still-to-be released game, gets its reveal, during E3 2017 later this month, the company announced this week.
Announced as Hunt: Horrors of the Gilded Age in 2014, a new teaser for the revamped game released last week. The trailer shows two people with guns in the woods searching for something. They are suddenly attacked by two other men hiding behind trees. The company describes the game as a “PVP monster hunter.”
The trailer suggests that players take on one another in teams of two. Nothing from the trailer shows anything having to do with monsters. Players will have to wait until next month’s E3 to find out more.
Crytek is known for such hits as the original Far Cry, the Crysis series, Ryse: Son of Rome and more. The company is also responsible for Cryengine, a game engine also used by some other developers. Their business development team will be in attendance at E3 to also show off the engine’s new features.
