This class will focus on defining the role of a UX designer within a game team and key differences between UX and UI. We will present techniques for creating and refining user experience designs through the lifetime of a project. Students will create brief UX storyboards for a sample game and discuss as a group how to garner feedback on their designs. There will also be a short Q&A session at the end of the class.
After this class students will have a better understanding of how game teams are generally structured and how UX designers within those teams take their designs from concept to finished game. Students attending the class will not need prior experience or skills with art, design, or code.
